This Privacy Policy explains how LegacyShift AI handles information in OWLClaw, a voice-first AI companion app designed for children ages 5 to 10 and their families.

Information OWLClaw Collects
OWLClaw collects only the information needed to make the app work. The app does not require a user account.
- Child profile information entered during onboarding, including child name, age, chosen Ollie character, and language or app preferences.
- Conversation messages typed or spoken by the user and Ollie's responses.
- Child profile notes created from conversations, such as interests, recent topics, achievements, learning preferences, and short conversation facts.
- AI image prompts, generated images, coloring pages, and related local image metadata.
- Usage settings such as text-to-speech enabled status, music enabled status, image quota counts, premium or free tier flags, and setup/download state.
- Speech input while the microphone feature is being used.
Where Information Is Stored
Most OWLClaw information is stored locally on the family's device using app storage, shared preferences, and a local database. This includes child profile details, chat history, app settings, image metadata, generated images saved inside the app, and offline model setup information.
If a parent saves an image to the device gallery, that image is stored in the device's Pictures area and may be managed by the operating system or the family's gallery apps.
Speech And Voice
OWLClaw requests microphone permission so children can talk to Ollie. Speech recognition is handled by the Android speech recognition service available on the device. OWLClaw receives the recognized text and uses it as the child's message to Ollie.
OWLClaw does not intentionally store raw microphone recordings. Recognized speech text may be saved in local chat history and may be sent to AI service providers when online features are used.
Third-Party Services
OWLClaw uses third-party services to provide online AI, voice, image, sound, app distribution, and optional offline model download features.
- Groq receives conversation text, recent conversation context, child profile context, and some text-to-speech input to generate Ollie's responses or premium voice audio.
- Google Cloud Text-to-Speech receives Ollie's response text to create spoken audio in supported languages.
- Runware receives image prompts to generate illustrations and coloring pages.
- ElevenLabs may receive short sound-effect prompts to generate audio effects.
- Hugging Face may receive model download requests when OWLClaw downloads an offline AI model.
- Google Play and Android system services handle app distribution, updates, device permissions, platform telemetry, crash or security protections, and payment or purchase flows if enabled later.
OWLClaw does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell children's information.
How Information Is Used
- To let children talk with Ollie and receive AI responses.
- To personalize Ollie's responses using age, name, interests, learning style, and recent conversation context.
- To generate images, coloring pages, voices, stories, sound effects, jokes, and educational challenges.
- To remember app preferences and avoid repeating setup steps.
- To manage free and premium limits, such as daily image-generation quotas.
- To download and use optional offline AI models.
- To respond to parent privacy requests and support inquiries.
Children's Privacy
OWLClaw is intended for children ages 5 to 10 and should be used with a parent or guardian's awareness and supervision. We collect only the information needed to operate the app, personalize the experience, and provide requested features.
We do not knowingly sell children's personal information, show behavioral advertising, use targeted advertising, or allow public child-to-child communication inside OWLClaw.
Parental Rights
Parents and guardians may review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child's information.
- To delete local app data, use Android Settings, Apps, OWLClaw, Storage, Clear data, or uninstall OWLClaw.
- To request help reviewing or deleting information related to online AI provider processing, email elite@legacyshiftai.com.
- We may need to verify that the requester is the parent or guardian before acting on a request.
Data Retention
Local app information stays on the device until it is deleted by the family, the app storage is cleared, or OWLClaw is uninstalled. Temporary voice audio files generated for playback are stored in cache and are deleted after playback when possible.
Information sent to third-party service providers is retained under those providers' own policies and service terms.
Security
OWLClaw uses HTTPS for network requests to online service providers. Most information is stored locally on the user's device. No security method is perfect, but we work to limit collection and use reasonable safeguards for the app's stage of development.
International Processing
OWLClaw may process information through providers located outside your country, including in the United States and other regions where our service providers operate.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as OWLClaw changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
